As a Director, Private Capital Markets, you will build and expand a portfolio of individual investors, providing access to private real estate opportunities traditionally reserved for institutional clients.
Reporting to the VP, Private Capital Markets, you will be empowered to build your book, deepen client relationships, and provide tailored wealth solutions, with the backing of a respected and fast-scaling firm.
This role is ideal for professionals from retail banking, private banking, wealth management, insurance or investment advisory looking to:
Expand beyond traditional products (mutual funds, GICs, public markets)
Build deeper, advisory-led relationships Be rewarded with strong earning growth for performance and client success
*This is an on-site opportunity based out of our Head Office in Burlington, ON
What You’ll Do
Build & Grow a Client Portfolio
Manage and grow a portfolio of individual investors across the mass affluent and high-net-worth spectrum Leverage firm-generated leads to grow assets under management Create long-term client relationships grounded in trust and performance Deliver Holistic Investment Advice Understand clients’ financial objectives, risk tolerance, and portfolio needs Position private real estate investments as part of a diversified wealth strategy Guide clients through the full investment lifecycle, from onboarding to ongoing portfolio reviews Drive Business Development Proactively source new client opportunities through networking, referrals, and outreach Partner with internal teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality client experiences Represent the firm at client events and industry functions Maintain Regulatory Excellence Ensure all client interactions meet Exempt Market Dealer (EMD) / securities regulatory standards Conduct investor suitability assessments with diligence and integrity Stay Market-Relevant Monitor macroeconomic, real estate, and capital markets trends Translate insights into meaningful conversations with clients
What You Bring
You likely come from banking or wealth environments, such as
Financial Advisor or Investment Advisor Private Banker or Relationship Manager Wealth Associate or Client Advisor
And you offer
5–10 years of client-facing experience in financial services, insurance, or wealth management Demonstrated success building and growing client relationships / portfolios Strong foundation in investment concepts, financial planning, and portfolio construction A consultative, advice-first approach to client engagement Proven ability to earn trust with high-value clients
Credentials
CSC or IFSE (EMP) required (or willingness to complete prior to start) Degree in Business, Finance, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
The expected annualized base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000 plus uncapped commission. The actual base salary offered will take into consideration factors including, but not limited to, the individual’s skill, experience, and relevant education or training.
Predictive Index Assessments
As part of our hiring process, candidates complete two short assessments from Predictive Index: A Behavioural Assessment (5–10 minutes, untimed) to understand your work and communication style. A Cognitive Assessment (12-minute timed) to measure learning and problem-solving abilities. These are not tests of intelligence or experience, they simply help us understand how you work best.
