Role Description: Food Manufacturing Production Worker Employer: Nova Scotia Organics Location: 2769 Lawrencetown Road, Lawrencetown B2Z 1L3 (HRM) Terms of Employment: Monday to Friday (8:30am – 5:00pm) Start date: As soon as possible
Duties: Follow production procedures (picking inventory, weighing ingredients, following instructions, quality testing, filling out documents.) Safely set up, operate and clean production equipment. Package finished supplements according to specified guidelines. Apply accurate labels to products, including batch numbers, expiration dates, and other required information. Maintain a safe, clean and organized production area and warehouse, and assist in office cleaning. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production, inventory, and any issues that may arise. Participate in training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge of supplement production processes. Other duties, as required.
Qualifications: Strong attention to detail in packaging and labeling processes. Good organizational skills and ability to maintain a clean and orderly workspace. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production demands. Commitment to workplace health and safety protocols. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable transportation (not on bus route) and ready show up and work scheduled shifts. Basic math skills, follow written instructions and attention to details. Ability to lift 20kgs.
Salary: $18/hr and negotiable
