Administrative Assistant / Receptionist

(Full Time contract November 3, 2025 – January, 14, 2026)

Catholic Crosscultural Services (CCS) is a settlement agency providing a wide range of services to immigrants and refugees regardless of race, religion or status.

We aresearching for a Part-time Administrative Assistant / Receptionist to provide administrative support in accordance with established policies and guidelines.

What you will be doing:

  • Open the office in the morning
  • Provide professional telephone and reception services in office locations
  • Screen service/information requests, provide general information and appropriate referrals
  • Schedule and book client appointments with staff
  • Manage and organize reception area including clients’ computers, public information boards/brochures and the employment resource rooms
  • Manage the meeting room and computer booking systems, and ensure meeting rooms, reception area, kitchen and photocopy areas are kept clean and tidy at all times
  • Participate on agency committees and special projects as assigned

What are we looking for?

  • College diploma in clerical administration or the equivalent in training and experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in the settlement and/or community work sectors
  • Knowledge of community resources and services
  • Second language is an asset
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Successful completion of a background check and/or vulnerable sector check upon hire
  • A valid Social Insurance Number and legally entitled to work in Canada under relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations

Location: Brampton, ON

Compensation: $23.68 - $26.37 based on experience

Hours of work: 35 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and occasional overtime is required

Catholic Crosscultural Services (CCS) is a GTA-based, national non-profit organization, providing programs and services to empower newcomers, immigrants and refugees to settle, integrate and prosper in Canada.

From its humble beginnings in a downtown Toronto church in 1954, CCS has grown into one of the largest settlement organizations in Canada. More than 200 employees and 100's of volunteers deliver culturally-sensitive and linguistically appropriate programs and services in more than thirty languages.
