Our client is currently looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth across its accounts.
The ideal candidate must have proven experience in selling tissue paper, demonstrating a strong understanding of the product category, customer needs, and market dynamics.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Development Manager will lead efforts to identify new opportunities, expand existing accounts, and drive revenue growth across retail, food service, janitorial, and commercial sectors. Reporting directly to the Manager of Accounts, this role involves shaping sales strategies and collaborating closely with purchasing, operations, customer service, and marketing teams.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across retail, food service, janitorial, and commercial sectors;

Develop and execute a strategic sales plan aligned with company growth objectives;
-
Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to contract negotiation and closing;

Expand product penetration within existing client accounts;
-
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients;
-
Understand customer needs and recommend tailored product solutions;
-
Conduct client visits, presentations, and business reviews;
-
Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and pricing shifts;
-
Identify new product or category opportunities based on market demand;
-
Attend relevant trade shows and industry events as required;
-
Collaborate with purchasing on supplier pricing and product availability;
-
Coordinate with marketing on promotions and client initiatives;
-
Work with operations and customer service to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION ARE:

Education in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience);

5-10 years of business development or sales experience in related industries;
-
Experience in selling tissue paper is required;
-
Demonstrated ability to open new accounts and manage mid-sized to large commercial clients;
-
Experience working with buyers, procurement teams, or operational decision-makers;
-
Good communication skills in English;
-
Understanding of consumable products (janitorial, packaging, food service, retail, etc.) is a strong asset;
-
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the region.
