Stella-Jones is seeking one highly motivated Summer Students for its Woodlands division based out of Salmon Arm, British Columbia. The position start is May 4, 2026 - August 28, 2026. Under the supervision and coaching of experienced Forest Processionals, the successful candidates will gain exposure and hands-on experience to various aspects of road and block layout, timber cruising and silviculture surveys on some of most diverse terrain in B.C. Stella-Jones offers a competitive salary and benefit package.
Some qualities we are looking for include:
- Career minded, full time student with an interest in forestry;
- Team oriented with good communication skills;
- Must be physically fit for varied terrain and enjoy working outdoors;
- Valid drivers license;
- Familiarity with GPS technology;
- Any previous forestry experience would be a significant asset
- First aid level 2 would also be considered an asset
