ABOUT THIS ROLE
Job Summary
The Patient Compensation Lead in Clinical Development & Operations will be responsible for ensuring all processes and vendors are in place to enable participant compensation, reimbursement, and travel services. This role will be accountable for vendor performance, serve as global business process owner, and work with study teams to oversee vendors, manage processes, and resolve issues. The ideal candidate will provide leadership and oversight to vendors and preferred CROs while serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on global payments and travel services.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement strategy on global participant payments and travel services, including sourcing, technology, and defining roles and responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional efforts to identify and implement improvements to payments processes, systems, and tools
- Engage with Clinical Development and Operations and vendor leadership to effectively manage issues
- Develop process guidelines and ensure adherence through QC checks and oversight activities
- Make decisions on complex processes with interdependencies (site relationships, budgets, regulatory requirements, etc.)
- Proactively assess payment strategies to align with evolving operating models and industry landscape
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert for global participant payments and travel services
- Coordinate with Site Payments and Contracting teams to manage mixed-model studies
- Lead process improvement initiatives for all aspects of participant payment administration
- Create an integrated, patient-centric approach to customer service and issue resolution
- Define and provide leadership of strategies, processes, and quality standards
Requirements

2+ years of experience in a Patient Recruitment role within the CRO or pharmaceutical industry

Strong vendor management experience and leadership in patient-centric strategies

Experience leading cross-functional teams in payments processes, systems, and tools

Bachelor's degree required
