About the role
We are seeking a Bilingual Scrum Master (English/French) to lead Agile teams delivering high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate is an experienced facilitator who promotes Agile best practices, removes delivery impediments, and enables cross-functional teams to achieve sprint goals while collaborating with stakeholders across English- and French-speaking environments.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement. Coach Scrum teams on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement. Partner with Product Owners to maintain a well-groomed and prioritized product backlog. Remove obstacles that impact team productivity and delivery timelines. Foster collaboration between development teams, business stakeholders, QA, UX, and leadership. Track sprint progress, team velocity, burn-down charts, and other Agile metrics. Identify delivery risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies. Support release planning and coordinate dependencies across multiple teams. Promote transparency through regular reporting and stakeholder communications. Champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Facilitate meetings and communicate effectively in both English and French.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master supporting Agile software development teams. Fluent in English and French (spoken and written). Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and Agile methodologies. Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies for distributed and cross-functional teams. Excellent conflict resolution, coaching, and facilitation skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Experience with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Rally. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II), or SAFe Scrum Master certification. Experience working in cloud, digital transformation, or enterprise software environments. Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile engineering practices. Experience supporting multiple Scrum teams simultaneously. Knowledge of Lean Agile practices and scaling frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus).
