About the Company:

BC Pavilion Corporation (PavCo) is diligently preparing for the FIFA WORLD CUP 2026 at BC Place Stadium.

We are hiring a Contracts Manager for 12 months who will lead the project's contract management activities in collaboration with the Construction Manager. The role will coordinate the receipt, review, response, and approval of project correspondence for both the Construction Manager contract and Prime Design contract.

This role will be responsible for managing the review process for monthly invoices from these and other contracts. The role supports monthly reporting and the ongoing management of contract changes. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of contract management processes and develop systems and sheets for tracking, planning, and execution of these processes. Experience in commercial and/or development construction using CCDC contracts is preferred.

The role will work directly with the Infrastructure and Capital Projects team and the Construction Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Receives and reviews project information (e.g., submissions and correspondence) to monitor, assess, and maintain awareness of issues and concerns
  • Prioritizes correspondence and submission reviews and facilitate responses by applicable discipline
  • Develops and maintains a tracking system to manage correspondence and maintain and report on the status/resolution of issues (e.g., pending changes, claims, notices)
  • Monitors schedules and deadlines related to document review and ensure completion aligns with contractual terms and requirements
  • Drafts basic correspondences and manages finalization of correspondence and reports
  • Drafts/updates a variety of documents (e.g., notifications, briefing notes, correspondence, project plan documents, summaries, etc.) required to support the project team
  • Facilitates and attends regular meetings to track and report on project activities
  • Coordinates contract change management and drafts initial change documents
  • Reviews and evaluates change related documents
  • Reviews and evaluates contractor’s claims-related correspondence and coordinates advancement with the Construction Manager
  • Coordinates monthly reporting and collection and assembly of data from relevant disciplines on the project team focused on Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • May oversee people resources in the development of the filing of contract correspondence electronically
  • Acts as mentor to project team members to share approaches to contact management
  • Performs other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • PMP certification and/or CPCM certification and/or Chartered Quantity Surveyor is preferred.
  • Ideally, a post-secondary education and several years of experience in contract administration or contract management, or experience as Owner’s Consultant/Representative with a focus on CCDC contracts and document management and control systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five to seven years’ project management experience.
  • Minimum of seven years in contract management roles on infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in commercial construction and/or development is preferred.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with commercial contract terms and processes and documentation types related to large scale construction projects.
  • Knowledge and experience in contract law, change management and claim evaluation.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to prioritize conflicting requirements in a timely manner.
  • High-degree of resiliency and is motivated by challenging situations.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight timelines and to respond to pressing issues.

Pay range and compensation package:

The salary range for this position is $94,084 – $117,605. Offers will be in line with PavCo’s internal pay equity and qualified candidate’s experience and education. Salary discussion and overall
