About the role
Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Project Manager on a permanent basis to work on our exciting Energy Roadmap Project. Ideally, this position will be based in Regina, SK, but we are open to remote/hybrid work options across Western Canada.
The Co-op Energy Roadmap is our most ambitious transition plan yet, driving us toward a low-carbon future by 2040. This project is set to reshape the energy landscape and empower communities across Western Canada to embrace a more sustainable tomorrow. You will be part of an innovative and highly impactful effort. You will lead, plan, direct and control the execution of a large-scale project within our Major Projects portfolio.

What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project success factors, key design objectives, and performance indicators.
- Identify and manage project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor their effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and review detailed cost estimates, schedules, RFEs, and comprehensive project plans.
- Lead engineering service providers and construction teams through detailed design, early work, execution, and site demobilization.
- Coordinate with Refinery Operations, Turnaround Planning, and the Construction Manager to develop and implement construction execution strategies.
- Plan and lead pre-construction meetings to align on schedule, budget, change management, safety, and roles and responsibilities.
- Support commissioning and start-up activities in collaboration with Refinery Operations to ensure successful facility integration.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to engineers, technicians, tradespeople, and contractors, fostering a high-performance project team.
Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Project Management and:
- Have a minimum of 10+ years relevant experience in the petroleum and/or the oil and gas industry leading large scale mega projects.
- Have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Industrial Systems (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
- Membership or eligibility for membership in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) .
