Join our team as our:

Print Services Specialist

Computer Services Department

35 hours/week

The Print Services Specialist plays a key role in managing and optimizing the daily operations of PGNFC's print shop, ensuring high-quality production and timely delivery of printed materials for staff, clients, and community members. This position also supports the organization's digital presence by maintaining website and social media platforms and provides occasional IT assistance as needed.

Success in this role requires a strong blend of technical expertise in print production, desktop publishing, project coordination, and customer service. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and a commitment to always maintaining a high level of confidentiality and data security.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Confidentiality and Security

  • Demonstrated ethical judgment and commitment to confidentiality policies
  • Experience handling confidential documents and sensitive information
  • Familiarity with secure data disposal practices, including wiping drives and shredding documents

Print Services Expertise

  • Experience operating and maintaining commercial or high-volume printing equipment
  • Knowledge of print production workflows including design, formatting, finishing, and quality control
  • Ability to troubleshoot print hardware and software issues
  • Strong customer service skills for consulting with clients and recommending print solutions
  • Experience managing inventory and coordinating supply orders
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications to support administrative and technical tasks
  • Skilled in desktop publishing to support print shop operations
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva is an asset
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and website content management systems for basic updates and community engagement

IT Support Skills

  • Ability to set up and troubleshoot VOIP systems, mobile devices, and A/V equipment
  • Ability to train users and create clear documentation
  • Familiarity with work order ticketing systems
  • Experience providing technical support to end users

Operational and Administrative Competencies

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • Comfortable with physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs., recycling, and deliveries
  • Ability to sit or stand for several hours at a time
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Commitment to team collaboration and community engagement

Education and Certifications

  • Diploma or certificate in Office Administration, Print Technology or IT Technology (or 3 years of related experience)
  • Valid driver's license
