System Application Analyst

Job Description What is the role? Working as part of a highly talented, dynamic team within our IT department, this role is for a Systems Applications Analyst. This person will be a key resource on the Applications Operations team, responsible for installation and deployment of software enhancements. This role is also a 2nd level of support for troubleshooting business applications, responsible for monitoring day-to-day operations of business applications and investigating & fixing issues. Salary Range: $56,700-$65,000
What will you do? Manage Operations of current ERP system: NAV, LS Retail and Profitbase:
- Investigate and fix system and data issues
- Monitor and troubleshoot scheduled jobs
- Analyze system problems and develop solutions
- Install and implement application enhancements
- Test, debug, and maintain PV system applications.
- Provide technical support and guidance for users and Help Desk.
- Provide the second level support including after hours and weekends
- Help to solve system users’ concerns, answering their questions and solving their problems.
- Generate ad-hoc SQL Scripts and converting to MS Access reports for users
- Create PowerShell scripts
- Support for cloud based application integration
The position requires thorough technical knowledge of all systems, applications and software that are being used by the company. Also requires ability to quickly adopt and learn the new technologies being adopted by company.
What will you need to succeed? Education and Experience
- College diploma or University degree in a quantitative field
- 3+ years software testing and support experience
- Experience in a Windows XP/7 environment
- Working experience with Git – source code management system for software development
- Working experience with cloud based applications
- Additional asset: working experience with Oracle xStore
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of test procedures, SQL-Transact language, and relational database theory
- Good analytical and organizational skills
- General understanding of Microsoft development tools and languages
- Knowledge/experience working with NAV/LS Retail
- Proficient in MS Excel and MS Access
- Knowledge/experience writing PowerShell scripts
