The Team Our Infrastructure and Capital Projects practice is comprised of over 600 sector experts and specialized consultants across the Globe. We combine strategic and operational expertise with a deep technical knowledge to support developers, sponsors, lenders, and projects leader to select, structure, improve and execute Capital Projects in a more efficient and sustainable way.

The Operational Readiness Manager is responsible for ensuring a seamless transition from project execution to operational readiness. This role involves developing and implementing operations readiness strategies, coordinating with project stakeholders, and ensuring that systems, processes, and personnel are fully prepared for the commencement of operations.

How You Will Contribute

  • Develop and execute operations readiness plans to ensure the successful commissioning and handover of project assets.
  • Collaborate with project teams, engineering, and operations to define system requirements, operating procedures, and training programs.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to startup and early operational phases.
  • Oversee workforce training and competency development for operations personnel.
  • Ensure all operational processes, manuals, and maintenance procedures are documented and aligned with best practices.
  • Coordinate with construction, commissioning, and quality teams to facilitate smooth handover of facilities.
  • Conduct readiness assessments and gap analyses to address potential operational challenges before project completion.
  • Implement lessons learned from past projects to enhance readiness and operational efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, productivity, and operational performance.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies during the transition phase.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in operations readiness, commissioning, or project startup within large-scale industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of operational best practices, risk management, and asset lifecycle planning.
  • Demonstrated experience in training and workforce development for operational teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in operations management software and reporting tools.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders

The salary range is $140,000 - $180,000 CAD annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
