**Work Hours:**Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

**Work Location:**On site, between 66 Six Point and 115 Saulter Street South

Compensation:$55,000-$58,000 Annual Salary, based on experience

Our Supply Chain team is looking for a fantastic Purchasing Coordinator to join the team. If you like the sound of us so far, keep reading to see if you have the experience and skills needed for this rewarding role!

The Position

The Purchasing Coordinator ensures proper flow of material by placing purchase orders as well as inventory management via the Business Central ERP. Responsibilities include placing and confirming purchase orders, making order adjustments, conducting inventory management, tracking supplier performance, coordinating receiving functions,coordinating freight pick ups / drop offs, managing invoice receipt, quality control checks via the quality control module, ensuring HACCP protocols are followed with material handling and occasional material handling duties (backup to receiving in case of emergencies). The Purchasing Coordinator works closely with operations supervisors / managers, purchasing team, supply chain planner, production and menu design team.

Key Responsibilities

Purchasing

  • Placing and confirming purchase orders, adjusting quantities as necessary
  • Provide forecasts to vendors securing continuous product supply
  • Ensuring delivery schedule is adhered to and meets our quality expectations
  • Contingency planning (eg. shortages, backorders, quality issues, pick-up/drop-off requests, etc.)
  • Timely communication to appropriate parties
  • Freight pick-ups and drop offs for corresponding purchase orders
  • Participate in obtaining quotes, RFQ and RFP exercises as directed by Sr Manager and/or Asst. Manager

Vendor Relations

  • Meeting supplier relationship management objectives
  • Monitoring vendor performance issues (eg, quality issues, foreign material, delivery accuracy, etc)
  • Checking and maintaining warehouse receipts, supplier and products/ingredient profiles
  • Updating vendor cards in ERP

Inventory Control

  • Monitoring and maintaining inventory accuracy, both at 6POINT / Sauler and at offsite facilities
  • Identifying opportunities to improve departmental systems and processes
  • Reporting on inventory status, production requirements, KPI’s, etc.
  • Conducting Business Central bin reviews, lot codes review (FIFO and FEFO) and assigning inventory for disposition as required
  • Assuming responsibility to monitor and control of allergens and ingredient changes on inbound material
  • Assuming responsibility for the development, accuracy, and daily process controls relative to expiry dates and may-contain labels
  • Occasional receiving of deliveries ensuring accuracy and quality expectations
  • Safely operate pump trucks, forklifts and other related warehouse equipments
  • Entering inbound material details into our ERP

Invoice Monitoring

  • Ensuring invoice receipt and accuracy against purchase order and system pricing
  • Overseeing credit memo receipt and accuracy
  • Other duties as required

About You

Required Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (College or University an asset)
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, G-Suite
  • Experience with an MRP/ERP system
  • Previous exposure to quality, food safety and health & safety best practices
  • Experience in medium to large scale production/warehouses
