We are growing our team and hiring an Account Manager – Sales , with a strong focus on serving customers in the Northwest Edmonton area .
About The Role Account Managers are customer-driven sales professionals who are committed to bringing value to farmers’ operations and strengthening long-term relationships. In this role, you will:
- Sell a full range of crop input products, including fertilizer, herbicides, fungicides, canola seed, and forage seed.
- Provide agronomic support such as crop planning, field scouting, fertility recommendations, and product fit advice.
- Develop a strong understanding of each customer’s farm business to align the right inputs, services, and solutions to their goals.
- Meet and exceed sales targets while maintaining appropriate profit margins.
- Grow revenue and profitability from both new and existing customers.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, cold calls, and relationships built through the local community.
- Support the adoption and growth of innovative or new crop input technologies that bring value to growers.
- Work closely with Operations and Logistics team to coordinate product delivery or pickup, ensure adequate credit is in place, and support CMN’s Health & Safety program.
- Use digital tools and platforms (CRM, Microsoft applications, Teams, etc.) to manage customer information and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in agriculture or related field is an asset.
- Experience in vocational, agricultural, or ag retail settings; a combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
- Minimum 3–6 years of sales experience preferred.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and comfort with digital platforms.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn and adapt.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence; comfortable with frequent travel within the territory.
