Position: Dental Assistant
Location: Peterborough, ON
Clinic: Chemong Family Dental

Specifics about the role:
- Job Type: Full Time
- Benefits: Dental Benefits, and Health Spending
- Schedule: Monday – Friday with 1 Saturday every 8-12 weeks
What you’ll do:
- Assist the dentist chairside during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms following strict infection control protocols.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and dental procedures.
- Take and develop X-rays (if certified) and maintain accurate patient records.
- Support front desk operations as needed, including scheduling and patient communication.
- Contribute to a positive, patient-focused clinic environment.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Experience as a Dental Assistant is an asset but new graduates are welcome to apply
- Experience using Live DDM would be considered an asset.
- Certification as a Registered Dental Assistant and in good standing with the ODAA.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, you’re as good at explaining care as you are at providing it.
- Excellent multitasking and organizational skills, you’re comfortable managing a busy schedule with ease.
- A collaborative spirit and the ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit clinical team.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) is a bonus!
