Salary Range: $63,347 to $116,190 (range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance to the collective agreement)

Required Abilities, Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's of Education in Teacher-Librarianship, Master Library and Information Studies (MLIS) or Diploma in Teacher-Librarianship and successful experience as a Teacher-Librarian.
- Experience and/or willingness to learn the skills necessary to plan, implement, and oversee the development of a school wide program for Media & Technology in our school library.
- Demonstrated ability and experience in collaborating with teachers to improve instructional practice in literacy.
- Ability to manage a resource collection using curricular and student interests to identify and obtain library materials, organize, and maintain the library collection to promote independent reading and lifelong learning.
- Collaboration skills in order to support classroom teachers in fostering independent learners by teaching research, information literacy, technology, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated strong interest in, knowledge and understanding of literature and be able to share a passion for books and learning with students.
- Familiarity with a wide variety of literacy approaches, strategies, and methods of assessment.
- Demonstrated excellent listening, speaking, presentation and writing skills.
- Ability to maintain and troubleshoot the library computers, printers, and server.
- Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to implement teaching practices that align with the Professional Standards for BC Educators.
- Knowledge, understanding and demonstrated application of the First Peoples Principles of Learning, with a commitment to reconciliation and allyship.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and the ability to establish/maintain positive, respectful, and collaborative relationships with colleagues, students, parents/guardians, and community
- Ability to manage a resource collection using curricular and student interests to identify and obtain library materials, organize, and maintain the library collection to promote independent reading and lifelong learning.
- Demonstrated ability to plan inclusively using Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to allow multiple access points for learners with differing abilities, interests, and needs
- Demonstrated ability to promote an effective classroom learning environment utilizing trauma informed perspectives, cultural sensitivity, using social emotional developmentally appropriate pro-active classroom management strategies (supporting PBS and school wide initiatives).
- ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with students, staff and parents
