Objectives The Yard/Field Coordinator is responsible for organizing and managing rebar accessories, operating forklifts and yard equipment, maintaining an efficient and safe yard layout, and delivering materials to field crews as needed. This role supports both shop and field operations to ensure projects run smoothly and materials are always available where and when they are needed.

Responsibilities

• Rebar Accessory Management
• Organize, label, and maintain inventory of reinforcing steel accessories (chairs, ties, spacers, inserts, couplers, etc.).
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages or replenishment needs.
• Prepare accessory packages for job-specific orders.
• Track and organize tools for field use
• Deliver rebar accessories and materials to job sites in a timely manner.
• Communicate with field crews to understand their immediate needs.
• Safely operate forklifts, loaders, and other yard equipment.
• Load and unload trucks with rebar bundles and accessory pallets.
• Move materials throughout the yard to maintain efficient workflow.
• Keep the yard clean, orderly, and compliant with safety standards.
• Maintain clear staging areas for incoming and outgoing materials.
• Follow all company and site-specific safety guidelines.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report any issues.
• Participate in required safety meetings and trainings.
• Other tasks as requested by supervisor(s)

Qualifications

• Experience working in a rebar yard, construction yard, or similar environment (preferred).
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required for field runner responsibilities).
• Basic knowledge of reinforcing steel accessories an asset
