About the Job
The Remote Practice Registered Nurse:
-
Practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and core competencies for Remote Certified nursing and code of ethics as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), as well as within a patient and family centered care model

Is responsible for providing primary health care and emergency services to the identified community
This is a Casual opportunity. Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.
Shifts of work will be scheduled days from 08:30 to 16:30 hours.

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). • Minimum two years broad base clinical experience in an outpost setting, a rural acute care setting, and/or emergency; or an equivalent.
- Current CPR BLS required.
- BCCNM Remote, STI, and CM certified practice required.
- Completion of a rural nursing certification program required.
- Mental health first aid considered an asset.
- Canadian Nurses Association Emergency Certification considered an asset.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS), and/or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) considered an asset.
- Current valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License.
