Weekend Worker Opportunity

We are excited to offer a Weekend Worker scheduling arrangement for this position. This innovative model provides employees with consistent weekend hours while supporting work-life balance and predictable scheduling.

Highlights of the Weekend Worker arrangement:

  • Work two (2) 12-hour shifts and one (1) 8-hour shift per weekend (total of 30 hours).
  • Paid for 37.5 hours at straight time each week.
  • Weekend schedule would be: Friday–Saturday–Sunday or Saturday–Sunday–Monday, depending on departmental needs.
  • Accelerated vacation accrual and paid holiday bank.
  • Predictable scheduling that allows for flexibility during the week.

This option is ideal for individuals who want to commit to a steady weekend schedule while enjoying more free time during weekdays.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Diagnostic Imaging, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic procedures in accordance with the standards of the College of Medical Radiation Technologists and the Brant Community Healthcare System’s guidelines. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to patient care and safety.

Education Requirements

  • C.A.M.R.T. (or equivalent) trained Medical Radiation Technologist required
  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) is required
  • Current registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologist is an asset

Mandatory Competencies:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced Imaging Department preferred

  • Demonstrated educational and professional involvement as well as a commitment to professional development

  • Ability to work accurately under stressful conditions, and meet patient care needs

  • Ability to work both independently as well as a part of a team

  • Demonstrated technical competence and a commitment to quality patient care

  • Excellent demonstrated customer service/communication skills

  • Ability to work any shift, including weekends, and be available to take call if scheduled

  • Excellent interpersonal and technical skills

  • Reliable individual with excellent attendance record and able to work all shifts
