Position Overview: We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Assistant who’s part creative, part tech-savvy, and fully ready to dive into the world of plants, design, and all things digital! This role is part-time with flexible scheduling, perfect if you love variety and want to work with two exciting local brands. And here’s the best part: there’s room to grow into a full-time role for the right person.
You’ll be supporting a marketing team of three and reporting directly to our Chief of Marketing & People. We’re a fun, enthusiastic, and driven group that thrives on collaboration and fresh ideas.
What You’ll Be Doing: • SEO strategy & support: Optimize web pages, track performance, and make sure our content is ranking.
- Website updates: Edit and maintain content so our sites always look polished and current.
- Graphic design: Create scroll-stopping visuals for social media, web, and digital campaigns.
- Content creation: Comfortability creating content and writing newsletters.
- Platform support: Handle scheduling, reporting, and organizing tasks across digital platforms.
- Day-to-day marketing/administrative help: Jump in where needed, no two days are the same!
Who You Are: • Experienced with SEO best practices and confident in applying them.
- Comfortable making website edits (WordPress, Wix or similar).
- Skilled in design tools (Canva & Adobe).
- A strong writer with an eye for creative, engaging content.
- Organized, detail-focused, and great at managing multiple projects.
- Enjoys tracking and analyzing.
- Someone who thrives with flexibility, independence, and collaboration.
Requirements: • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle.
- Comfortable working in a garden center.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends if required for event coverage or project schedules.
- Strong communication skills.
