Job Summary & Requirements Clinical Manager, Cardio/Respiratory Diagnostics, Cardiovascular Rehab & Sleep Lab The Clinical Manager of the Cardio/Respiratory Diagnostics, Cardiovascular Rehab & Sleep Lab participates in Program visioning, planning, evaluation, budget development, resource allocation, utilization management, risk management and the promotion of service excellence and quality improvement. Leading the Department Operations Committee, the Manager serves as the link between the Staff, Physician groups and Clinical Units. The Manager works on various projects in the Department to improve patient flow, services and outcomes. The Manager participates in community activities and committees related to the improvement of Department Procedures and Services offered. The Manager ensures that day to day operations are aligned with the department and organizational Strategic Plan, Mission, Vision and Values. The Clinical Manager is a role model of professional behavioural standards.
Additionally, the Clinical Manager of the Cardio/Respiratory Diagnostics, Cardiovascular Rehab & Sleep Lab will have specific accountabilities to Ontario Health-CorHealth and the NSM hospitals in their role. The Clinical Manager also contributes to Regional program planning for Cardiac Diagnostics/Cardiac Rehab and operations as well as participating in health centre-wide initiatives.
Education:
- Registered with a Recognized College or Association.
- Baccalaureate preparation in a health related field essential
Experience:
- 3 - 5 years current experience related to Cardiac environment required
- Previous management experience in a Cardiac/Respiratory outpatient area is preferred

- Sound management and leadership skills, professional judgment, technical knowledge, initiative, innovation, ability to organize, coordinate, problem solve, performance manage, delegate and communicate with all professionals
- Effective communication, interpersonal, organizational and team building
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to establish effective partnerships with various members of the interprofessional health care team to ensure quality patient and family care, both in the hospital, community and regionally
- Demonstrated leadership through planning, problem solving, critical thinking, change management, project management, financial management and quality monitoring
- Commitment to growth and development of self and others
- Demonstrated professionalism
- Demonstrate strong leadership and motivational skills
- Client service oriented
- Demonstrating skills in recognizing, analyzing and resolving problems
Other:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook applications
- Working knowledge and understanding of Patient Information Systems (i.e. Meditech)
- Working knowledge and understanding of Financial Management Systems
- Ability to work within a patient care team environment, to foster a strong interprofessional model of care
- Knowledge of Echo Quality Assurance Standards
About Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre
Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, located in Barrie, Ontario, provides safe, high-quality care for residents across a large geographical region including Simcoe County and the District of Muskoka. The area is home to more than 450,000 residents, with half of RVH’s patients living outside the City of Barrie.
As the largest health centre in North Simcoe Muskoka, RVH provides highly specialized services, and technology not found anywhere else in the region. This includes the only interventional radiology suites for minimally invasive surgeries, vascular services, advanced stroke care, as well as dedicated trauma rooms in its large Emergency department. RVH is also home to the Hudson Regional Cancer Centre, Simcoe Muskoka Regional Heart Program, Simcoe Muskoka Regional Child and Youth Program and the RVH Regional Renal Program meaning distance is no longer a factor for residents receiving lifesaving treatment.
