Position Overview
As a Member Service Manager, you will manage the operation of the cash and member service function and provide oversight, coaching, direction to branch supervisors/team leads of the assigned branches to meet performance and growth goals, and compliance with policies, procedures and branch safeguarding and security precautions. You will manage the branches in the effective provision of quality member service, maximizing relationship building opportunities across retail, commercial and all business lines of the credit union and helping members achieve and maintain their financial health. You will also develop and provide in-person and virtual training to support the development of retail sales and service employees and manage related training reference and resource tools. The Member Service Manager reinforces a values-based culture focused on building employee capabilities and confidence to provide quality member service and achieve individual and branch performance objectives. You will be a member of the retail network management team that contributes to the growth and sustainability of StellerVista.
(This position is outside of the bargaining unit)
Schedule Description
Permanent Full-Time – 37 hours per week
Flexible schedule between Monday – Saturday
Education and Experience:
- Completion of a two-year diploma in business administration or operations management acquired through a college or technical school
- Completion of, or enrollment in and active progression towards the ACUIC Designation
- Candidate require a minimum of 6 years of related member service experience with StellerVista or another financial institution including at least 2 years in a Financial Services position where retail lending was a job requirement, plus 1 year in a supervisory role
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Successful candidates must also demonstrate the following:
- Advanced knowledge of credit union deposit products and services
- Solid working knowledge of supervisory skills such as scheduling and work assignment, recruitment and performance management
- Ability to provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to team, and to motivate continuous learning and performance development in others
- Working knowledge of retail credit granting processes and associated retail lending products and services Solid working knowledge of the current banking system
- Success in responding to member enquiries and providing a high level of member service
- PC literacy including Microsoft Word or other work processing software, Excel or other spreadsheet application and banking software programs
- Advanced oral, listening and written communication skills including demonstrated ability to train one-on-one or small groups
- Working knowledge of credit union legislation, policies and procedures as they relate to branch operations
- Working knowledge of risk management, security and safety as they related to branch operations
- Commitment to continuous learning and willingness to take courses related to training design and delivery including virtual training and adult learning
- Willingness and ability to travel within StellerVista branches as required to fulfil the job responsibilities
Compensation: We are pleased to offer a competitive compensation package including but not limited to participation in extended benefits and pension programs, health and wellness programs, and a competitive vacation entitlement.
Annual salary commensurate to education and experience.
Current annual salary range: $81,122.00 - $101,403.00
