About the Role

We are seeking a forward-thinking, experienced Director of Private Client Concierge Insurance to lead and elevate our Private Client division. This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of service and sales to high-net-worth (HNW) individuals and families. You will ensure exceptional client experiences while driving growth through strategic sales leadership, advisor coaching, and operational discipline. This is a hands-on leadership position that demands deep expertise in risk management, superior service delivery standards, and the ability to cultivate a performance-driven, client-first culture.

What You’ll Do

Leadership and Strategy

  • Provide strategic oversight and direction for the Private Client Insurance team across service and sales.
  • Champion a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, integrity, and trust.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align team goals with broader business strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal policy requirements.

Sales Oversight

  • Lead and manage the sales team, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and effective collaboration across advisors and producers.
  • Drive revenue growth through effective pipeline management, producer enablement, and sales performance tracking.
  • Coach advisors and producers on complex risk placements and sales strategies tailored to HNW clients.
  • Monitor market trends to adapt and refine value propositions and sales tactics.

Service Delivery

  • Lead the service team to deliver white-glove client experiences, balancing responsiveness with tailored solutions.
  • Ensure policies are accurately placed and maintained in line with client needs, lifestyle shifts, and asset acquisitions.
  • Develop scalable service processes that retain personalization while improving efficiency.

Team Development

  • Recruit, mentor, and retain top talent in both service and sales functions.
  • Promote continuous learning and professional development across the team.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and identify opportunities for role clarity, growth, or repositioning.

Client Relationship Management

  • Act as executive sponsor or escalation point for top-tier client relationships.
  • Support strategic relationship building with centers of influence, wealth advisors, and referral sources.
  • Represent the Private Client team at client meetings, events, and market functions when appropriate.
  • Personally service a small, dedicated book of ultra high net worth clients, ensuring direct oversight and continuity for the firm’s most complex relationships.

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in insurance, preferably in a private client or high-net-worth environment.
  • RIBO, or relevant provincial licensing required; CIP, CRM, or CAIB is an asset.
  • Proven ability to lead both sales and service teams with measurable results.
  • Deep understanding of personal risk management and HNW client expectations.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presence.
  • Strong business acumen with a focus on execution, process, and results.
  • Ability to influence across organizational levels and collaborate cross-functionally.
