Qualifications

MINIMUM FORMAL EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related discipline.

  • Knowledge of university regulations, programs and procedures as they relate to the function/program.

  • additional training or certification in digital marketing, graphic design, or communications considered an asset.

EXPERIENCE:

  • One year of directly related administrative experience is required.

  • 2-3+ years of progressive experience in marketing and communications, preferably in a post-secondary, professional development, or similar organizational context.

  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-channel marketing campaigns from concept through to execution and reporting.

  • Experience developing marketing and communications collateral for both digital and print formats.

  • Experience with digital advertising platforms including paid social media campaigns.

  • Experience maintaining and updating websites and online registration or CRM platforms.

  • Experience managing marketing budgets and tracking expenditures.

  • An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong copywriting and editing skills with the ability to tailor messaging across platforms and audiences is required.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies aligned with organizational goals, including audience segmentation and multi-channel communication approaches Is required.
  • Solid graphic design skills with a keen eye for visual consistency and brand standards are required.
  • Ability to analyze marketing performance data and translate insights into actionable recommendations is required.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate and build relationships effectively across teams are required.
  • Self-directed and able to work independently with minimal supervision is required.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality across all deliverables are required.
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) is required.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.
  • Email marketing platforms (MailChimp or equivalent is required.
  • Social media management platforms (CoSchedule or equivalent) is required.
  • CRM and online registration systems (Arlo or equivalent) is required.
  • Web content management systems (Drupal or equivalent) is required.
  • Video conferencing tools (Microsoft Teams and Zoom) is required.
  • Familiarity with paid social advertising platforms (Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager) is required.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and emerging marketing technologies to support content development and workflow efficiency is required.
  • A satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.

Key responsibilities

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS:

  • Marketing/Communications Strategy: Work with the Director to develop and implement the annual marketing strategy for existing and new Executive Education programs and events**.**
  • Copywriting and Content Development: Write and edit engaging content for a range of platforms, including website, email campaigns, newsletters, social media, reports, and promotional materials.
  • Design and Visual Content: Develop visually appealing marketing and communications materials using design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), including brochures, event materials, presentations, digital graphics, and other promotional assets. Ensure digital content and materials meet university accessibility standards. Maintain and update a broad library of branded templates and documents to support consistent, professional communications across the organization.
  • Campaign Coordination: Lead the planning and end-to-end execution of integrated marketing campaigns to promote programs, events, and organizational initiatives, including social media, paid advertising, and email marketing. Manage campaign timelines, coordinate deliverables, monitor performance, and track expenditures to ensure campaigns remain within budget, while providing regular reporting to leadership.
  • Marketing and Communications Collateral: Create and maintain a range of communications materials such as program brochures, event invitations, digital/print advertisements, and branded resources that align with established messaging and brand guidelines**.**
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including program managers, faculty or subject matter experts, communications staff, and leadership to gather information and translate complex ideas into clear and engaging marketing messages.
  • Brand Management and Message Consistency: Ensure all communications adhere to the organization’s brand standards, tone, and visual identity across channels. Provide informal guidance to colleagues and external partners on the correct use of branded materials, templates, and assets to ensure consistency across the organization.
  • Industry and Association Engagement: Cultivate and maintain relationships with professional associations, industry partners, and external networks to promote programs, expand brand visibility, and identify opportunities for collaboration. Digital Platform and Systems Management: Oversee and maintain the organization's digital infrastructure, including the Executive Education website, online registration platform, email subscriber lists, and online forms. Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure platforms are accurate, functional, and up to date.

PROJECT AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT:

  • Develop and coordinate marketing workflows, manage content calendars, and support marketing reporting, event promotion, and communications planning. Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers for stock asset procurement and platform updates. Conduct periodic reviews of peer and competitor marketing activities to benchmark approaches and identify opportunities to strengthen program promotion.

WEB AND CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT (CRM):

  • Manages and monitors campaign performance through registration and data analysis across all marketing channels (traditional, web, email, and social media). Makes recommendations and improvements based on findings and evaluations.
  • May be required to perform related duties not exceeding skills and capabilities as required.
