About the role
The Health Research Network, based at the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), is seeking a Research Assistant to contribute to our patient-oriented research programs within a multi-disciplinary healthcare environment. The successful candidate will play an integral role in the conduct of a clinical trial, working closely with the Research Coordinator, faculty members, and physicians.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collect, organize, and manage research data from the Queen Street Medical Clini
- Conduct participant interviews to assess study eligibility
- Coordinate scheduling, communication, and logistics related to research activities
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and well-documented records of research data, methods, and outcomes
- Assist with the preparation of reports, presentations, and manuscripts for publication or internal use
- Collaborate with the Research Coordinator to ensure timely and effective completion of study tasks
- Assist with other research projects within the Health Research Network
- Participate in Health Research Network Team Meetings
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Successful completion of an undergraduate degree in Health Sciences or a related field
- Reliable transportation between UPEI campus and the Queen Street Medical Clinic
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a research team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
