Position Summary The Accounting Clerk is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of financial documents on a weekly and monthly basis for multiple direct stores. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and timeliness in all accounting activities.

This role is 100% on-site in London Key Responsibilities

  • Generate invoices on a daily basis.
  • Record payments received in the accounting system.
  • Process cheque deposits using a digital scanner.
  • Match purchase orders to invoices and verify supporting documentation.
  • Maintain a digital library of documents for review, tax, and audit purposes.
  • Review bills for potential errors, discrepancies, or missing information.
  • Post and reconcile invoices and outgoing payments.
  • Maintain up-to-date vendor and client records, ensuring complete documentation.
  • Assist with month-end closing processes and financial reporting activities.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude and professional manner.
  • Accounting degree or diploma considered an asset.
  • Experience with accounting software such as Sage 300, Spire, or Total Service is an asset.
  • Previous experience in the construction industry is an advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • French language skills are a plus.
