Our team is looking for an HR Associate to provide coordination and specialized support in areas such as recruitment and talent acquisition, employee relations, employee experience, labour relations and other HR programs and processes.
What you’ll do:
- Performs activities related to attracting and assessing candidates including conducting screening interviews, arranging interviews, obtaining and verifying references, administering testing to recruits and preparing documentation appropriate to the recruitment process.
- Performs activities related to scheduling.
- Provides backup coverage for the monitoring of the HR Inbox, responding to employee queries or providing triage of requests; assists and advises employees and managers on the awareness and interpretation of approved HR practices or program information.
- Performs administrative functions of the human resources department, supporting the wide variety of HR programming including monitoring and helping to keep various employee communication vehicles up to date on behalf of HR, such as the intranet or other repository of HR information.

What you’ve got:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field, plus 2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Intermediate understanding of Affinity Credit Union’s business objectives and divisional business operations
- Intermediate knowledge in a broad range of human resource programming, including experience in recruitment, scheduling, or HR information systems
- Ability to provide member centric advice and offer resolution support for a broad range of human resources practices
- Ability to conduct leading practice research to discover, analyze, and recommend innovative processes
