Position Title: Payroll Clerk Location: Calgary, Alberta Hiring Manager: Payroll Manager CAM Industrial Solutions has a long history delivering industry-leading maintenance and turnaround services and power operations as part of the storied legacy companies this business has belonged to. Some of our customer relationships extend back more than 60 years. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to become part of the CAM team as it stands up as an independent company and leads the way in the industrial services sector.
Position Summary The Payroll Clerk is responsible for processing a small weekly payroll and a mid-size bi-weekly payroll to ensure pay is processed on time, accurately and in compliance with government regulations.
Core Responsibilities
- Full cycle payroll processing for multi-province payroll
- Responsible for balancing electronic timesheets for bi-weekly payroll, adjustments, retroactive pay and terminations
- Calculating, withholding and remitting garnishees
- ROE submission, editing, trouble shooting
- Enter/Verify Tax, TD1 forms
- Primary payroll contact for various site locations across Canada
- Respond to inquiries from employees and outside agencies
Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ experience in a high-volume, fast-paced payroll environment
- Actively pursuing course work towards PCP designation is considered an asset
- Multi-province payroll experience in a large organization
- Experience with Dayforce software.
- Accurate data-entry skills with strong attention to detail required
- Ability to multi-task with excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong team work skills
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
- Proficiency with MS Applications: Excel, Word, Outlook
- Flexibility to work overtime as required to meet critical deadlines
