About the role

##Some of what you will do:

The Senior Manager, Retail Fixture Management & Deployment directs all fixture related programs across the Staples Canada retail network, from fixture development and vendor management. The role leads major deployment initiatives including national rollouts, capital projects, disaster rebuilds, prototype launches, and merchandise resets.

The role ensures consistent deployment of fixtures according to brand standards, oversees inventory planning, manages cross‑functional communication, and provides leadership to team members completing site validations and vendor oversight. This position is responsible for ensuring all fixture deployment programs are delivered on time, on budget, and with high quality.

Specifically, You Will:

  • Oversee the fixturing procurement and execution in retail network to large scale capital projects up to $10 million per annum this includes all aspects of fixture project management including execution as per budget and deadlines.
  • Responsible to review and evaluate vendor bids, make recommendations and approve contractors
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and scope.
  • Oversee the procurement process for fixtures (pallet racking/gondola/millwork) this includes but is not limited to needs assessment (calculation), purchase order creation, order tracking, and invoice validation
  • Negotiating, tendering and value engineering fixtures, displays and millwork, along with installation services to ensure the organization benefits from the best costing options possible, along with meeting the capital budgetary needs Review project schedules regularly and recommend efficiencies that accelerate deployment without additional cost.

Some of what you need:

  • University Degree or College Diploma or relevant work experience
  • 5 – 7 years of progressive construction experience required
  • 3–5 years of people leadership experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in fixture management, deployment, installation, or store development
  • Experience with signage programs and specialty fixture procurement
  • Experience working with external vendors and trades
  • Proficiency in TMS (Work Order/PO system)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Physical demands/working conditions:

Office environment – Hybrid, with 4 days onsite in Richmond Hill, subject to the hybrid policy.
