Senior Associate, Intermediate Translator, Language Services (Bilingual FR/ENG)
About the role
A career within our Client Translation team, part of Language Services, will enable you to provide a full range of translation services and linguistic solutions for clients’ accounting and financial documents as well as other communications. You will be responsible for translating client documents, including financial statements, management reports, internal control reports, and other important business documents.

Meaningful work you’ll be part of
As an intermediate translator, you will be part of a team of professionals who can solve problems and help find solutions to complex business issues, from strategy to implementation. The skills and responsibilities for a PwC Professional at this level include:
- The translator’s role is to participate in project delivery by providing professional-quality translations of assigned texts.
- They work in a team with other translators and the project manager to ensure each project is completed efficiently and effectively, making optimal use of available tools and references.
- Translate the assigned documents faithfully, accurately, and within prescribed deadlines, respecting accounting and financial terminology and phrasing as well as each client’s requirements.
- Master translation assistance tools and Language Services processes.
- Actively participate in project delivery and teamwork.
- Use translation memories or other necessary software for effective and cost-efficient delivery.
- Review revisions made to their translations and ask necessary questions to ensure their ongoing development.
- Participate, as needed, in welcoming and training translation interns.
Experiences and skillsyou’lluse to solve
- At least five years of supervised translation experience in a professional accounting firm or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in translation
- Experience in the financial, accounting, and legal fields and willingness to acquire required knowledge in these areas
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Keen interest in new technologies
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to change
- Knowledge of major translation tools (Logiterm, Studio, FlowFit) and AI tools
- Certified translator designation or intention to obtain it
- For positions based in Quebec, fluency in French is required. For positions in other provinces, fluency in French is an asset
- Demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working with people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives

This position ensures continuity and upholds our standards of excellence following the departure of a valued team member.
The salary range for this position is $58,400 - $97,500. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to all relevant pay transparency legislation.
