WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Assist with daily and monthly bank reconciliations by comparing bank statements to internal records and noting any differences.
  • Review deposits, withdrawals, checks, online banking activity, and wire transactions for accuracy and proper coding.
  • Flag missing or mismatched transactions and escalate issues to senior team members for resolution.
  • Maintain accurate backup, supporting documents, and notes for all reconciliations.
  • Work with other accounting team members to gather information needed to clear outstanding items.
  • Assist in preparing simple reconciliation summaries or updates for management.
  • Help ensure bank reconciliations are completed on time for month-end close.
  • Provide organized files and reconciliation reports during audits.
  • Support improvements to reconciliation workflows by maintaining updated checklists and procedures.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

  • Diploma, certificate, or coursework in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration1
  • 1-2 years of experience in in accounting or office administration preferred; internship or co-op experience is an asset.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, experience with accounting or ERP systems is an asset (e.g., Yardi, Kyriba, Oracle, SAP).
  • High accuracy in reviewing financial data and transactions.
  • Comfortable working with numbers and identifying basic discrepancies.
  • Clear written and verbal communication for interacting with team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn, take direction, and support senior accounting staff.
