Treated Well
Reporting directly to the Vice President, Human Resources, you’ll be part of a collaborative team that works closely with branches across the organization. You’ll have autonomy in your day-to-day work, with guidance when it matters.
You’ll also collaborate closely with leaders and employees across our seven locations. Your work will be visible, valued, and directly connected to operational success.
Trained Well
You’ll receive practical, hands-on onboarding to learn our people, culture, systems, and processes quickly and effectively.
Paid Well
Our total compensation package offers health, dental, health spending account, EFAP, vision care, and life insurance.
The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000, based on education and experience.
The Role
At its core, this role is about helping people have a great experience at work.
You’ll be a key part of delivering day-to-day HR support across our seven locations, making sure employees and leaders get timely, practical, and consistent support when they need it. From onboarding new hires to supporting managers, keeping our HR systems running smoothly, and helping processes stay efficient, you’ll be right in the middle of it all.
No two days will look exactly the same, and that’s part of what makes this role interesting. You’ll balance a mix of people support, coordination, and behind-the-scenes work that keeps things running well. You’ll also have the opportunity to spot ways we can improve how we do things and help make those improvements happen.
We’re looking for someone who is organized, approachable, and takes pride in being reliable. Someone who enjoys helping others, pays attention to the details, and can keep things moving in a fast-paced environment.
Human Resources – this is approximately 80% of where you will spend your time

Act as the first point of contact for employees and manager HR inquiries, coaching and guidance

Serve as the HRIS super user, supporting reporting, process improvement, data integrity, and employee data changes

Administer the employee life cycle, including:
- Offer letters, employment changes, disciplinary and termination documentation
- New hire orientation
- Offboarding and exit processes

Coordinate and track probationary reviews and exit interviews
-
Administer benefits and leave programs
-
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and personnel files
-
Ensure compliance with employment standards and HR best practices
-
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery
-
Support managers with day-to-day HR guidance, escalating more complex matters as required
-
Assist with investigations, accommodations, and sensitive employee matters as appropriate
-
Support ad hoc HR projects and reporting
-
Maintain strong working knowledge of HR legal requirements related to day-to-day operations, reducing legal risks, and assisting with regulatory compliance where needed

Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information and HR and company matters
Corporate Services - this is approximately 20% of your time and really important work
- Manage company cell phone program.
- Assist with travel bookings
- Other duties as assigned
Education
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Experience
- 3+ years of human resource administration or coordinator experience
- Exposure to employment standards and labour legislation in Alberta and BC
- Experience working with an HRIS
- Ability to multitask different jobs and time constraints efficiently
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Personal Characteristics
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Clear, professional communication with the ability to handle sensitive situations appropriately
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality
- Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment
- Customer-service mindset with the ability to build credible working relationships across all levels
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

- This is a Monday to Friday in office position working 40 hours per week
