Job Title: Node.js Developer
Location: Toronto, ON Work Arrangement: Onsite (hybrid) Employment Type: Contract Duration: 12 Months Domain: BFSI Pay Rate: CAD 55-60/hour Incorporated Application Deadline: July 17th, 2026
SKILLS REQUIRED
Mandatory Skills: Strong hands-on experience in Node.js development using JavaScript (ES6+) and/or TypeScript. Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and scalable backend applications using Express.js or NestJS. Extensive experience with GitHub, including repository management, branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, GitHub Actions, and release management. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or similar DevOps tools. Experience working with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or DynamoDB. Hands-on experience with Docker and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Strong understanding of API security, including JWT, OAuth, secure coding practices, and asynchronous/event-driven programming. Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with a focus on application performance, scalability, testing, and production support.
