About the role
Summer Program Job Coach:3 Positions(8 or 9 Week Duration)
Responsibilities:
- Systematically analyze job tasks and work environments to plan appropriate training, supervision and support.
- Provides transportation and mobility training to and from the work site.
- Observes and records employee job performance and work behaviors for required reports.
- Secures feedback from supervisors and co-workers regarding employee’s job performance.
- Serves as a role model for participants placed in community business settings.
- Ensures employers and participants are satisfied with the working arrangement.
- Communicates progress on job site to coordinators and Summer Program Managers.
- Provides on the job support to 4-5 students with an intellectual disability that will be working/ volunteering in summer jobs.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a post-secondary degree with a humanities focus will be considered an asset.
- Canada Summer jobs encourages that youth, ages 15-30 to apply.
- Must have a vehicle for work to travel between work sites.
- Ability to work with a high degree of independence (minimal supervision).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Start date:June 22, 2026 - August 14, 2026 (2 positions) OR June 22, 2026 to August 21, 2026 (1 position).
- Rate of Pay: $19.04/hour (32.50h/wk.) and $0.48/km mileage.
