Specific Position Details:

Qualifications and General Duties:
- A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Demonstrates a student-centred philosophy committed to maximizing learning in a safe and caring environment
- Proficiency with Google Suite and educational tools for communication and planning
- Experience and/or training in Assessment for Learning, including formative and summative assessment strategies
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and foster a sense of belonging
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and reflective practice aligned with the Alberta Teaching Quality Standard
- A willingness to contribute to the school's extracurricular programs is considered an asset
(KES) is a welcoming and dynamic Grade 1–6 school where relationships, collaboration, and student growth are at the heart of everything we do. Serving approximately 225 students, our school is supported by a dedicated and close-knit team of 12 teachers and 10 support staff who work together to create a positive, inclusive learning environment. We are also proud to house an accredited private Kindergarten (ECS) program, along with convenient on-site after-school care as well as a daycare on the property, making KES a true hub for families in our community.
At KES, we believe in educating the whole child. Beyond strong classroom instruction, students enjoy a variety of extracurricular opportunities that enrich learning and build confidence, including drama, cooking club, running, volleyball, and basketball. Staff are encouraged to share their passions, collaborate creatively, and make a meaningful impact both inside and outside the classroom.
Located just 15 minutes west of Lloydminster, the Village of Kitscoty offers the benefits of small-town life with easy access to city amenities. With a population of approximately 1,000, the community draws families from local farms, acreages, and nearby residential areas such as Blackfoot and Islay. It is an ideal setting for those who want to raise a family in a safe, caring neighborhood while enjoying a short commute to the amenities and other opportunities in Lloydminster.
