About the role

DEPARTMENT: Raw Materials REPORTS TO: Raw Materials Supervisor LOCATION: ARC’One SHIFTS TIME: 7 am – 3.30 pm YOUR OPPORTUNITY AT ARC’TERYX: As the Raw Materials General Assistant, you assist in general stocking, organizing and picking of products in the area. You work with a team of general assistants and the team leader to ensure deadlines and safety standards are met. You are a quick learner with excellent attention to detail and you efficiently move goods while maintaining an organized workspace. MEET YOUR FUTURE TEAM: Under the supervision of Raw Materials Supervisor, you will partner with 6 Raw Materials team members. We are the first step in the process that distributes the raw materials through the production lines. Our team is a key contributor in making Arc’teryx successful and we take pride in getting the job done right and on time. We may operate behind the scenes, but the work we do creates a great impact within the manufacturing plant as well as partners overseas. \n

If you were the Raw Materials General Assistant now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing (including, but not limited to): You stock the products in their respective areas You organize and replenish the levels of raw materials to ensure picking accuracy and prevent shortages You pick products accurately from picking bin by following the order list You ensure proper daily storage and maintenance of equipment You ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the stock security, cleanliness and organization of the warehouse You will be cross trained with a senior member of the Raw Materials team to learn additional operations within the department You facilitate effective and productive communications within the team to maximize productivity and efficiency You follow Company regulations and procedures in order to uphold the Company’s quality and safety standards You perform other duties as assigned

Are you our next Raw Materials General Assistant? You have at least 2 years of warehouse experience in manufacturing environment You have high attention and keen eyes to details You have strong English verbal and written communication skills You have experience operating hand-held scanner in warehouse setting You have basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel and ERP systems You have the ability to work well independently and efficiently without direct supervision and to work effectively as a team You can work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines You have excellent organizational skills and flexibility You are willing to share your knowledge and train other team members You have strong interpersonal skills with ability to deal with difficult situation with tact and professionalism You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions You can balance autonomy and collaboration You seek the best (but sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment You have CSA approved steel toe footwear

Assets: You have knowledge of FIFO inventory systems You have a valid forklift and power pallet jack license You have knowledge of Arc’teryx’s unique products Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it

\n $21 - $23 an hour The starting pay for distribution workers is CAD$21.00 hourly at the time of this posting, with a reasonable estimated pay range of CAD$21.00 - $23.00 within 12 months upon skill assessment.
