About the role
Overview
The main function of this position is to ensure our corporate credit risk is minimized through the effective management of dealer credit risk analysis in combination with the administration of product release and our order management system.
LOCATION/REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
- The position is located at our corporate office in Barrie, Ontario, on a full-time basis
- The Credit Analyst reports to the Controller within the Finance Department
Responsibilities
- Analyse Customer Financial Statements & Other Required Documents
- Analyse Customer Financial Statements and other related documents to make credit recommendations
- Support the Credit and Collections Representative responsibilities as needed customers
- Register security, Inventory, GSA, LOC etc.
- Conduct annual review and financial statement analysis of all accounts
- Determine Annual Bad Debt Reserve Determination
- Review Annual credit limits and recommend changes as necessary
- Renewals of Security Filings & Letters of Credit
- Ascertain reasons for declined approvals and attempt to resolve problems and out-of-line conditions by communicating with Suzuki marketing, sales and logistics department personnel.
We are seeking candidates who provide the following expertise and competencies:
- Demonstrated ability in evaluating the financial health of a business
- Experience in the maintenance of credit-related databases:
- Ability to review credit risk for existing dealerships and new accounts
- Support the New Dealer Set Up and Dealer Termination process
- Provide administrative support to process approval process
- Monitor the inventory checks of items at dealership or other locations
- Financial educations/designation preferred with Credit experience
- 2-5 years of Credit related experience at senior level
- Proficient at advanced level in Microsoft package, with focus on Excel high-level functions
