Job Description

What is the Opportunity?

Reporting to the Senior Director, Climate in the Chief Data Office, the Director, Program Enablement is accountable for designing, operating, and continuously improving the enterprise enablement layer that allows climate data initiatives to be delivered effectively, consistently, and at scale.

The Director owns the program enablement function for enterprise climate data, establishing the structures, processes, governance integration, and delivery discipline that connect climate data strategy to execution across products, analytics, and models. The Director enables delivery of climate data products, analytics, or models by ensuring clear prioritization, coordinated execution, dependency management, and embedded governance across teams in a highly regulated environment. Working in close partnership with product and analytics leads, this role ensures enterprise climate data initiatives operate as a cohesive, well-enabled program.

This is a senior leadership role critical to positioning climate data as a trusted enterprise capability supporting risk management, regulatory compliance, and business decision-making.

What will you do?

Program Enablement

  • Own and operate the enterprise climate data program enablement layer, including operating model, delivery cadence, and portfolio-level transparency.
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery effectiveness, predictability, and stakeholder confidence.
  • Enable execution of enterprise climate data initiatives by establishing intake, prioritization, sequencing, and dependency-management mechanisms.
  • Coordinate delivery across climate data products, analytics, and model teams.
  • Act as the central enablement and escalation point for delivery risks, execution issues, and cross-team dependencies.

Governance & Controls Management

  • Enable governance by design, ensuring controls, documentation, lineage, and lifecycle management are embedded into delivery workflows.
  • Coordinate execution of data and model governance with accountable owners, including data quality, controls, documentation, and remediation tracking.
  • Establish governance forums, reporting cadence, and portfolio-level visibility for risk, audit, and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Support regulatory, risk, and audit engagement by ensuring strong execution discipline and traceability across the climate data portfolio.

Data Strategy

  • Operationalize enterprise climate data strategy by translating strategic intent into executable delivery plans and enablement structures.
  • Ensure alignment between data strategy, analytics strategy, and product strategy across climate initiatives.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong working relationships with business leaders, risk, compliance, audit, technology, and sustainability partners.
  • Represent the enterprise climate data enablement function in senior forums and with external partners, vendors, and industry groups.
  • Communicate complex enablement, governance, and delivery topics clearly to executive and non-technical audiences.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have:

  • 10+ years of experience in data strategy, program enablement, governance, or enterprise transformation roles.
  • Demonstrated experience owning and operationalizing enterprise data strategies, preferably within climate, sustainability, risk, or regulatory domains.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in data governance, data quality frameworks, and control environments.
  • Experience overseeing model governance and model lifecycle management, including documentation, monitoring, and issue remediation.
  • Proven ability to design and run cross-functional programs spanning analytics, data products, and governance.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior business, risk, compliance, and technology leaders.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complexity for executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated, and evolving environment.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with climate and sustainability data domains (e.g., financed emissions, physical risk, transition risk, climate disclosures).
  • Knowledge of climate frameworks and standards (e.g., PCAF, GHG Protocol, NGFS, ISSB/IFRS S2).
  • Experience working with external data providers, vendors, or industry working groups.
  • Background in consulting, enterprise transformation, or platform-scale program delivery.
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative, technical, or interdisciplinary field.

  • Direct influence on decision-making at the highest levels of the bank.
