The Scheduler is responsible for the timely coordination of shift schedules, call-outs, vacation and sick replacements, and entering and reviewing payroll timesheets. The successful applicant will provide timely coordination and monitoring of shift schedules, call-outs, absenteeism, vacation and sick replacements using the collective agreement and the accurate entering and reviewing of payroll data. This position also compiles, tracks, and reports on various staff and client statistical data.
To succeed, you will need to be able to multi-task, and pay attention to detail in a busy office environment while encouraging positive relationships with staff and management. Familiarity and comfort with various computer software or an ability to learn quickly are imperative to this role. You will also learn how the Collective Agreement rules apply to scheduling vacation, sick, and other types of leaves.
Qualifications
Diploma/certificate in Business and Administration is an asset. At least two (2) years of experience working in a related environment. Preferable knowledge and experience in: Web-based payroll software. Intermediate level of experience Word, Excel. Other database related software.
Requirements
Complete the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Criminal Record Check.
Job Information
Hourly Wage Rate: $30.18 - $33.49. Work Location: 535 Ellice St. - Rock Bay Landing. Work Days: Thursday to Saturday. Shift Time: 09:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Total Weekly Hours: 30. Job Type: Part-Time, Temporary until the return of the incumbent. Union: BCGEU. Portability
