Description Kick-start your marketing career with a hands-on co-op where you’ll create real impact and achieve real results. Position Overview: The Marketing Co-op Student will support the development and execution of internal and external communication initiatives during their work term. This role provides hands-on experience in content creation, digital marketing, internal communications, and event support. The ideal candidate is creative, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

Term: January – March

Key Responsibilities Content Creation

  • Help ensure brand consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all channels.
  • Support the development of visual content (graphics, short videos, presentations) using Canva.

Internal Communications Support

  • Help create materials that support internal campaigns, departmental initiatives, and employee engagement.
  • Assist in producing newsletters, announcements, posters, and other employee-facing materials.
  • Coordinate with departments to gather content and ensure clear, consistent messaging.

Digital Marketing Support

  • Schedule and monitor social media posts across platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, etc.).
  • Track social media engagement and assist with performance reporting.
  • Update website content and assist with basic web page maintenance (no coding required).

Campaign & Event Support

  • Support the planning and promotion of marketing campaigns, events, and internal initiatives.
  • Help coordinate logistics and promotional materials for events or job fairs.
  • Assist with photography or on-site coverage for events and campaigns.

Research & Analysis

  • Conduct competitor and market research to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Support reporting on campaign performance metrics (email open rates, engagement data, web traffic, etc.).

Administrative Support

  • Assist with general communications and administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field.
  • Available for a co-op placement from January to March.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Canva or similar design tools.
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing concepts.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Photography or video creation experience considered an asset (not required).
