CIVIL WORKS SUPERVISOR

The normal work schedule is on a rotation of 6 weeks: 3 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks of rest.

Responsabilities
Reporting to the General Foreman of Surface Services, the Civil Works Supervisor coordinates civil works and services offered by their department. Their mandate is to ensure that workers can perform their daily tasks while adhering to health, safety, environmental, and operational standards. Specifically, they are responsible for the following:
- Preparing and conducting daily health and safety meetings with their team
- Preparing and distributing each worker's daily tasks;
- Monitoring each worker, including task analyses, risk assessments for special projects, and daily work map reviews;
- Being able to adapt to changes in priorities throughout the day (planned and unplanned work);
- Planning, coordinating, and executing all required civil works during the summer period with the assistance of their team;
- Completing various reports: daily, weekly, monthly, and end-of-shift;
- Place orders for the daily needs of employees; - Collaborate with other departments to ensure high-quality service;
- Monitor schedules and complete data for the payroll department;
- Participate in the development and continuous improvement of the department;
- Participate in the employee evaluation process;
- Perform any other related tasks.
Qualifications
- Hold a high school diploma or vocational diploma (DEP/DVS) in a relevant field.
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in personnel supervision and civil works management.
- Have experience in the following areas: surface services in the mining sector and/or road transportation and/or machinery operation in an industrial environment and/or civil works;
- Demonstrate good stress management skills;
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Possess a general explosives permit.
Profile and assets
- Bilingualism (functional French and English);
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook;
- Experience working in a northern environment;
- Ability to work with a diverse and multicultural team;
- Autonomy, dynamism, positivity, respect, teamwork, and versatility;
- Adaptability to change
