What will you be doing!

  • Leading a team of ~40 professionals responsible for planning, scheduling, and executing maintenance activities across CNL’s site infrastructure.
  • Overseeing the full work‑management process, including initiating, planning, scheduling, executing, and closing out corrective, preventive, predictive, emergency, and outage work.
  • Ensuring compliance with Conduct of Maintenance, Conduct of Operations, audit requirements, Quality Assurance (QA) programs, technical specifications, and regulatory standards.
  • Developing long‑range plans, operational goals, budgets, and performance targets aligned with business objectives.
  • Building strong customer relationships to support the timely, effective delivery of maintenance services.
  • Driving a strong safety culture through the implementation of safe‑work practices and Event‑Free Tools.
  • Leading training, staffing, succession planning, recruitment, and development initiatives to maintain a qualified and capable team.
  • Improving functional procedures, processes, systems, and tools to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Managing the computerized asset management system (Avantis), including system reliability, updates, reporting, and integration.
  • Allocating resources efficiently to meet customer demand and minimize idle capacity.
  • Contributing to company‑wide initiatives, teams, and improvement programs. Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What we are looking for:

-Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Honours Science from a recognized university;OR
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work management, operations, or maintenance experience. -Experience
  • Extensive managerial experience with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholder groups in a research, production, or support‑services environment
  • Experience with enterprise asset management systems —Avantis strongly preferred
  • Experience with engineering or design environments is an asset. -Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to lead cultural and operational change.
  • Deep understanding of work management processes and maintenance environments.
  • Knowledge of regulations, standards, and safety requirements within nuclear or industrial environments.
  • Skilled in planning, budgeting, performance monitoring, and resource management.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with customers, peers, and technical/safety support groups.
  • Strong judgment and decision‑making capabilities.
  • Ability to motivate and develop staff, promote professionalism, and support organizational success. -Security Clearance Eligibility Required
  • Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has**a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom.**CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”

Working Conditions:

  • Working schedule: Five (5) days per week, seven and a half (7.5) hours per day for a 37.5‑hour work week.
  • The nature of the work involves tight deadlines, shifting priorities, and, at times, dealing with challenging employee or operational situations.
  • Extended hours may be required to meet operational needs.
