Ready to be our Quality Champion and score big on product excellence? As our Quality Control Technician, you'll be on the front lines, ensuring every product is a winner! You'll warm up with pre-operation checks, then jump into collecting and analyzing finished product samples like a pro athlete. Get ready to flex your sensory muscles and analytical brain with our testing procedures! You'll be the MVP of GMP, food safety, and sanitation protocols, tackling any challenges head-on with corrective action reports. You'll also be a key player in record keeping and verifying those all-important critical control points. Plus, you'll be a team player, helping to develop food safety programs, calibrating equipment like a seasoned pro, contributing to exciting R&D projects, and keeping our facility in top shape with routine inspections.
Your Mission:
- Verifying operational readiness: Performing pre-operation checks.
- Assessing product quality: Collecting and conducting sensory and analytical testing on finished product samples and ensuring all raw materials and finished products meet specifications.
- Monitoring in-process and finished goods: Performing and verifying quality checks throughout production.
- Upholding standards: Monitoring adherence to SOPs, finished product specifications, and company quality programs (GMP, Food Safety, Sanitation, and Hygiene).
- Managing improvements: Conducting Corrective Action Reports and assisting with the development of food safety and quality programs.
- Ensuring compliance & accuracy: Assisting with record keeping, maintaining audit compliance, and performing Critical Control Point (CCP) verification.
- Supporting operations: Calibrating programs, troubleshooting optical sorters, and assisting in R&D projects.
- Maintaining department resources: Auditing and maintaining QA department supply and equipment inventory.
- Promoting safety: Conducting routine and spot facility inspections.
- Taking on other duties as assigned to support our dynamic operations.
What You Bring:
- You'll bring a minimum of one year's experience from a food manufacturing facility.
- Your strong communication skills will shine, particularly in writing clear and concise technical reports.
- You're highly accurate with data entry and proficient in using Excel, Word, and other necessary computer software.
- Whether working autonomously or collaborating with a team, you're effective in both settings.
- You're naturally detail-oriented and focused on achieving goals.
- You'll leverage your excellent problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
- You possess working knowledge of GMP and HACCP programs.
Good to Know:
- This position requires successful completion of a clear background check prior to start date.
- This is an 18 month contract position.
- Must be available to work the Friday, Saturday and Sunday 4AM to 4PM.
- Steel Toed Safety Shoes are required, Personal Protective Equipment will be provided onsite.
- Starting wage is $24.76 per hour + applicable shift premium.
