About The Role
- DR Test Scheduling & Coordination: Develop and manage a master schedule for all disaster recovery exercises and testing across various departments and IT systems. Coordinate logistics, resources, and participants for annual or bi-annual drills, including tabletop exercises and full simulations. Document DR exercises and test activities.
- Results Management & Documentation: Document detailed results, observations, and lessons learned from all DR tests and actual incidents. Track remediation efforts for identified gaps to ensure continuous improvement of plans.
- Compliance & Reporting: Monitor disaster recovery processes and maintain up to date documentation to ensure compliance with enterprise policies and standards, industry standards and best practices, and regulatory requirements. Prepare reports for Risk team and senior leadership on the overall resilience of posture and compliance status.
- Plan Maintenance & Review: Facilitate regular reviews and updates of DR plans, technology asset list with business process owners and IT specialists to ensure plans and databases remain current with the changing business and technology landscape.
- Liaison & Communication: Act as a central point of contact for DR planning activities, fostering communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams (IT, security, business units, vendors) to ensure alignment of recovery strategies. Work closely with Risk team ensuring that all OSFI requirements a meet.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor emerging risks and technologies to enhance resilience strategies. Update DR plans based on changes in infrastructure, cloud adoption and business priorities.
- Education & Certifications: A bachelor's degree is preferred. Relevant certifications such as the Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) or Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) from the Disaster Recovery Institute Canada (DRI Canada) or the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) are valuable assets.
- Nature of Role: This is an administrative and coordination role; it does not require hands-on technical configuration of systems, networks, or data recovery efforts
What We’re Looking For
- Formal Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or relevant experience.
- 5+ years in IT operations, disaster recovery planning, or business continuity roles.
- Certifications such as the Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) or Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) from the Disaster Recovery Institute Canada (DRI Canada) or the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) are valuable assets.
- Organizational: Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple schedules, documentation sets, and projects simultaneously.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for clear documentation, reporting, and coordinating across diverse teams.
- Analytical: Strong analytical skills to evaluate test results, identify gaps, and recommend non-technical process improvements.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail is critical in maintaining accurate and complete documentation and compliance records.

What You Can Expect - Pay & Process
- Expected base salary range is 80,000$ - 90,000$ , plus the opportunity to earn an annual incentive bonus tied to performance.
