Position Summary

The Purchasing Administrator is directly responsible for supporting the Procurement Department performing all relevant procurement administrative duties. The incumbent is directed by the Director of Ferrous & Non-Ferrous Procurement for all duties and responsibilities.

The responsibilities and accountabilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Report and data entry in SAP and Stradix.

  • Conduct reconciliations in SAP and Stradix.

  • Assist with expediting material at Mills and Processors.

  • Enter Purchase Order data into relevant ERP Systems

  • Validate all purchase orders against acknowledged Mill orders

  • Cover vacation time for team members.

  • Understand, support and adhere to the company’s health and safety policies, programs and procedures by communicating and promoting health and safety awareness to coworkers.

  • Maintain a high standard of professional knowledge, ethics and practices when dealing with customers, suppliers, peers, subordinates, supervisors and other key stakeholders of the company.

  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner that reflects integrity and respect towards customers, suppliers, peers, subordinates, supervisors and other key stakeholders of the company.

  • Other responsibilities and accountabilities as assigned
