GRADUATION COACH – CLOSED (INTERNAL) COMPETITION (TERM)
About the role
Job Purpose
The Graduation Coach supports students in successfully completing their high school graduation requirements while helping them explore meaningful pathways beyond school. This entry-level rote focuses on building strong relationships with students, supporting academic progress. and connecting learners to post-secondary opportunities, employment pathways. and community resource’s The Graduation Coach works closely with students, teachers. administrators. And families to monitor student progress toward graduation and provide encouragement, guidance, end practical support. This role also helps strengthen partnerships between KEA and post-secondary institutions, local employers. and Enoch Cree Nation corporate services, creating opportunities for students to explore careers, training programs, and future education. The successful candidate will demonstrate a positive, optimistic. And student-centered approach, helping students believe in their potential and build confidence in their futures.
Education, Experience And Requirements
Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
Child Welfare Intervention Record Check Valid Class 5 Driver’s license Willingness and intention to upgrade to a Class 4 Driver’s License with Endorsement Ability to travel between school sites and community partner locations when required. Experience in education, mentoring, community programing, or youth development is an asset. Experience working with indigenous communities or culturally grounded programming is an asset.
Working Conditions
Work hours are from: 8:00am – 4:00pm Monday to Friday
Required to work a total of 40 hours per week (Essential Service) 10-month-based employee, with summers off per the annual operational calendar.
Required to volunteer 100 hours per schoolyear
May require occasional lifting of light office supplies and equipment.
Work occurs primarily within the school environment and community settings
Some evening events or community gatherings may be required. Travel within the community maybe required to support student engagement. Participation in transition planning meetings and student support meetings maybe required Participation in cultural activities, school events, and community engagement opportunities may be required. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required. Must sign and adhere to the Enoch Cree Nation Confidentiality Agreement upon hire.
