The Superintendent/Chief Executive Officer shall report directly to the Board of Trustees and is responsible for the management, under the Board’s policies, of all sectors of the school system. The Superintendent/Chief Executive Officer shall:
- provide leadership in developing, achieving and maintaining educational programs and services; and
- administer and supervise (or cause to be administered and supervised) all activities related to the operation of the school system;
- execute Board decisions and be accountable to the Board for managing the schools in accordance with the Board’s policies.
Highlights of Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree
- Doctorate Degree Preferred
- Eligibility for teacher certification in Manitoba
- 5 years of experience as a senior-level administrator in education
- Successful classroom teaching experience in a K-12 system
- Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
