Job Status: Regular part time positions / limited regular part time positions
Estimated Probable Duration (for limited positions): Seven (7) months/Eighteen (18) Months
- Recruitment pool
Affiliation: CUPE Local 4705 Inside Unit
Hours of Work: Up to 48 hours bi-weekly
Shift Work Required: Yes (days, evenings, weekends)
Rate of Pay: Group 1 - $18.55 per hour
Resumes will be considered for both current and future vacancies and will be kept on file for six (6) month
Characteristic Duties: Under the direct supervision of the Manager or Co-ordinator of library section or branch:
- Shelve and file library materials.
- Read and straighten shelves.
- Shift books (i.e. major move or reorganization).
- Retrieve periodicals.
- Assist in preparing materials for withdrawal.
- Pack and unpack boxes.
- Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of CGS's Safety Manual and the applicable Provincial Legislation listed therein.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of Secondary School (Grade X) Education.
- No experience necessary.
- Work with numbers and letters in sequence.
Competencies: Competency Library - Level 1 Proficiency
