About the role

Poste : Géologue de Ressources Principal (Sénior)

Relevant du SVP Mines et Géologie de DRA Americas, vous aurez à gérer ou à apporter une assistance technique sur des projets d’exploration et d’estimation des ressources minérales.

Responsabilités

  • Préparer des modèles et estimer des ressources minérales et préparer des rapports techniques NI 43-101, SK-1300, PERC, SAMREC ou JORC.
  • Vous devrez aussi, à l’occasion, auditer et valider les modèles géologiques et estimation des ressources de certains clients.

Exigences

  • Baccalauréat en géologie ou en génie géologique;
  • 10 années ou plus d’expérience en exploration, consultation et/ou opérations minières;
  • Membre d’un ordre professionnel au Québec ou en Ontario ou est admissible à le devenir à courte échéance;
  • Expérience pertinente en techniques de modélisation et géostatistique;
  • Bonnes connaissances des logiciels de modélisation géologique;
  • Expérience dans la rédaction de rapports techniques NI 43-101 et JORC;
  • Expérience pratique dans la géologie des métaux précieux et de base, le fer et les minéraux industriels.

Connaissances et habiletés

  • Disposé à voyager à l’occasion au Canada et à l’étranger;
  • Possède d’excellentes habiletés pour le travail d’équipe et la communication;
  • Bilinguisme (anglais, français), la connaissance de l’espagnol serait aussi un atout Type d’emploi :

Title: Senior Resource Geologist

We are seeking a Senior Geologist, based out of our Montreal or Toronto office.

Reporting to DRA’s SVP Mining and Geology in the Americas, you will lead and provide technical assistance for green-field and brown-field exploration projects and mineral resource estimation.

Responsibilities

Prepare geological models, estimate resources, and write technical reports following NI43-101, SK-1300, PERC, SAMREC or JORC standards; You may occasionally have to audit and validate geological models and resource estimations prepared by clients.

Requirements

B.Eng in Geological Engineering or BSc in Geology; 10-years or more of experience in consulting, exploration or operating mines; Member of a professional organization in Quebec or Ontario or have the qualifications to become a member in a short period of time; Practical experience in the geology and mineral resources of precious and base metals as well as iron ore and industrial minerals Strong experience or expertise in resource modelling techniques and geostatistics; Hands-on experience in using modelling software; Experience in writing of NI 43-101 Technical Reports;

General Requirements

Available to travel from time to time within Canada and overseas; Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Bilingual (English/French), Spanish language would be an asset
