This role is offers a hybrid model with 2-3 days in office/week in Toronto, ON.

Position Scope

The Director, Corporate Reporting and Consolidation, is responsible for end-to-end external and internal financial reporting, including consolidated financial statements, MD&A support, board-level financial materials, and technical accounting under IFRS. The role oversees month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial close; interim and year-end audits; tax reporting process; and supporting the internal controls over financial reporting, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant information for management, the board, and regulators.

Responsibilities

FINANCIAL REPORTING AND CONSOLIDATION (35%)

Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial close and consolidation processes across all legal entities, including intercompany eliminations Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with IFRS Own technical accounting matters (new standards, complex transactions, judgements and estimates), develop and maintain accounting policies, and provide guidance to finance and business leaders

EXTERNAL REPORTING, MD&A AND BOARD REPORTING (20%)

Coordinate the preparation of the annual financial statements (to be included in the Company’s Annual Report), management information for the MD&A, and other statutory or regulatory filings, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and clear narrative Support the preparation of board and audit committee materials, including consolidated financials, key ratios and commentary on results, risks and outlook

AUDIT, TAX AND CONTROLS (20%)

Lead interim and year-end audit processes, manage the audit plan and deliverables, and act as primary contact for external auditors Support corporate tax compliance and planning by providing accurate financial information, working papers and accounting support for income tax and other filings Maintain and improve internal controls over financial reporting, including documentation, design and operating effectiveness testing, and remediation of deficiencies

PROCESS, SYSTEMS AND LEADERSHIP (15%)

Evaluate and enhance close, consolidation and reporting processes to shorten timelines, improve quality, and increase automation Oversee the use and optimization of the ERP system, consolidation and reporting tools Lead t finance systems projects (overall control of the system will be project manager for upgrades and conversions of systems Lead, mentor and develop the corporate reporting team, and foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and strong partnership with FP&A, treasury, tax and business unit finance Oversee the work of the Manager, Financial Planning, Analysis and Reporting and external consultants

TREASURY AND FINANCE (10%)

Collaborate closely with the Senior Director, Finance in managing credit agreements with the financial institutions Partner with the Senior Director, Finance to support cash management and investment decisions Monitor and analyze the Company’s overall treasury position, including preparing reports to support cash management and investment strategies Provide ongoing support to the Senior Director, Finance on ad hoc initiatives

Qualifications and Experience

Post-secondary degree or diploma in business, finance or accounting required Professional accounting designation required (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA) Seven (7) to ten (10) years of progressive experience in financial reporting, consolidation, corporate accounting, audit or public practice A minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years of demonstrated experience leading audits, preparing consolidated financial statements and notes, and supporting MD&A Strong understanding of IFRS, financial controls, and governance in a mid- to large-scale organization Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, able to work under tight deadlines and manage competing priorities Advanced excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems, consolidation, and reporting tools Knowledge of JD Edwards and Hubble reporting systems and software, an asset Bilingualism (English/French) is required

Compensation: $114,000 - 136,000 base salary, 15% bonus, pension, benefits, health spending account, etc.
